Uruma House burns down, man’s remains found in ruins
A one-story concrete house was completely burned down in Uruma City Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters from Gushikawa Fire Station responding to an emergency call put out the flames and found a male body among the ruins. According to Ishikawa Police, the house around the kitchen area where the body was discovered had burned with great intensity, so the remains were difficult to identify. As of noon on Sunday, the police have not been able to get in touch with a man in his 60’s, who had lived alone in the house for about two years, so the speculation is that the human remains found are his.
Ishikawa Police and Gushikawa Fire Department are conducting a joint investigation into the cause of the fire.
