US. Army private arrested on theft charges in Naha
Naha Police arrested a 22-year-old U.S. Army private on suspicion of theft, Saturday.
According to police, U.S Army Private Wesley Gibbs, is suspected of shooting off a fire extinguisher that was installed at a parking lot of a commercial facility in Asato, Naha, and then throwing the extinguisher into a river about 4:40 in the morning on Apr. 18.
Police say Gibbs had a strong smell of alcohol in his breath at the time of his arrest. He has not admitted to the charges.
