Fire destroys part of local inn, four injured

A fire broke out in a four-story building of a Japanese style inn shortly after midnight, Tuesday, in Ishikawa-Akebono, Uruma City.

A team of firefighters in seven fire trucks arrived at the scene. They were able to extinguish the blaze a little before 4 a.m. The third floor of the building burned down completely, and half of the second floor was destroyed as well.

Three guests who had been staying in the inn, and the 72-year-old owner of the building were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation, but none of them are in life threatening condition.
