Ryukyu Bingata, Shuri Weaving and Yoshida & Co., Ltd join hands

Ryukyu Bingata, Shuri Weaving and Yoshida & Co., Ltd., famous for its porter bags, have joined hands and made a line of new types of bags that are introduced at the Ryubo department store in Naha.

The special exhibition to introduce the bags is on the first floor of the store at Palette Kumoji, and is running through Apr. 28.

There are two types of mini tote bags made using bingata as a liner inside the bags, and three types of canvas tote bags made with Shuri weaving. The bags are aimed at women in their 30s to 40s. Prices vary from \17,280 to \27,000.
