Peach Aviation sells Naha – Ishigaki tickets for ¥114

Peach Aviation, one of Japan’s low cost carrier (LLC) airlines is setting a record of sorts. Labeling 2014 as the “Year of Ishigaki Island” it ran the first big promotion of if the year over the Coming of Age Day weekend.

During the weekend and through Tuesday, tickets for flights between Naha and Ishigaki were sold for just ¥114 one way. Over the same period, flights between Ishigaki and Kansai International Airport were sold for ¥2,014 one way.

At a press conference at Ishigaki City Hall on the 10th, Peach Aviation CEO Shinichi Inoue stated, “We will continue to contribute to the Yaeyama Islands not only by offering low priced flight tickets, but also with a variety of other plans.”
