Kurara Chibana elected for WFP Japanese Ambassador
Former Miss Universe 1st Runner-up, Naha-born Kurara Chibana, has been elected the Ambassador for the World Food Program (WPF).
Chibana, who was the 1st Runner-up for the Miss Universe title in 2006, was picked up for the post on Dec. 13 becoming the first Japanese to be elected for the role. Chibana has been an official supporter for the WPF since 2007 visiting poor countries and calling for support.
“I want to let people know how the WFP operates so more and more people could take interest in this matter”, Chibana commented.
