Convenience store robbed in Tomigusuku

A convenience store was robbed at knifepoint about 15 minutes after midnight in Madanbashi, Tomigusuku City, Tuesday.

According to police, a man walked into the store, and showed a clerk a cutter knife demanding money. The employee handed him the money from the register, about ¥100,000 cash. The robber took the money and ran away on his scooter heading towards Naha.

Tomigusuku Police are still on the lookout for the man. They describe the man as being in his 50s, medium built and around 165cm tall. He was wearing dark clothes, a helmet and a mask.
