Man robs woman’s purse in Naha

A 25-year-old female restaurant worker walking home was robbed of her purse on Nov. 22nd around 6 a.m. in Matsuo, Naha City.

According to Naha Police investigating the case, a man approached the woman from behind and grabbed her purse that contained more than 100,000 yen in cash. The woman told investigators that the man put his hands around her from behind telling her not to move. He then put his hand over her mouth and kicked her on the abdomen when she tried to fight back.

The man is about 25~30 years old, 170 cm~180cm tall with a slim figure. He was wearing a black jacket with a hood and blue jeans. It appears the suspect ran south from Ukishima Street after the robbery. Police investigation into the case continues
