Lawson opens shop inside Itoman City Hall
Lawson Okinawa made a little history when it opened a new Lawson convenience store on the first floor of Itoman City Hall, Nov. 5, making Itoman City hall the first of the 41 city halls in Okinawa to have a convenience store within its premises.
At the opening ceremony Itoman City Mayor Hirotsune Uehara said, “I hope this will be an advantage to all citizens who are visiting the city hall in business, and also city hall employees.”
The store will offer about 1,000 items for sale, from food and drinks to everyday sundries. As in every Lawson shop, payment of tax, electricity, gas and water bills is possible.
The store is open for business from 8 am ~ 6 pm. and closed on weekends and holidays.
Lawson Okinawa President Masayuki Koja stated, “We would like to contribute to the citizens by providing a wide variety of products and services always conveniently available.”
