Development company to build luxury resort in Onna

The site of the old Onna Communications Facility is about to see new life as a resort hotel.
Berjaya Okinawa Development, which works only with high end Four Seasons Hotels, says it plans to build a new resort on the Onna Village site, which is 44.5 hectares leased from the Onna Communications Facility landowners’ committee. Plans call for constructing a hotel with 200 rooms, as well as 20 hotel villas.
The company says its long-range goals are to build 214 facilities, including residence villas and markets. It also intends to offer residential lots for sale.
