Bicycle-motorbike crash results in head injury

A bicycle ridden by a 68-year-old male restaurant worker and a motorcycle driven by a 25-year-old unemployed man collided on a Naha City street at 3:30 p.m., seriously injuring the bicyclist.

Naha City Police say the incident occurred in the Kokuba district of Naha City.  The restaurant worker is in serious but unconscious condition because of acute subdural bleeding after striking his head sharply.  Police say the restaurant worker had entered the road from an alleyway and crashed with the running motorcycle.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
